Ceramic Foam Filters

Ceramic Foam filters are just developed as a new type molten metal filter to decrease casting flaw in recent years. With its characteristics of light-weight, high mechanical strength, large specific surface areas, high porosity, excellent thermal shock resistance, erode resistance, high-performance, competitively priced, ceramic foam filter is designed for filtering impurities from liquid metals.

Our ceramic foam filters are available in four materials: alumina, for use with aluminum and aluminum alloys; zirconia, for use with stainless steels and nickel alloys; silicon carbide, for use with grey iron, ductile iron, precious metals, copper, bronze, brass and investment casting; and Magnesia,for use with magnesium alloy.

All of the materials are available in square, round and custom geometric shapes; sizes ranging from 10mm up to 600mm, and thicknesses from 10-50mm. Pore densities from 8-40 pores per inch are available.

1. Silicon Carbide Ceramic Foam Filters For Iron Casting :

3. Magnesia Ceramic Foam Filters :

4. Zirconia Ceramic Foam Filters :

Apply to purge solution of carbon steel, steel alloy and stainless steel, it can endure require of

technology of steel and get rid of foreign matter and materials of corroded model. It can also drop turulent and reduce twice oxided foreign matter.
